So, yeah, I’ve graduated. I walked across the stage, I have the diploma, I have packed up my life and come home for the time being. I also apparently still have two library books that I need to return, but I’m going to have to work that out later.
Obviously, I have neglected this blog over the course of this last semester, for which I apologize. The very last four months of my college career have been a little bit like drowning – where you can see the surface of the water only a few feet above and you know that inevitably your body will float to the top, but you’re still not convinced you’ll make it there breathing.
I do have one constructive thing to share:
A way to be active, productive, and have fun:
Give your car a bath!
Today I spent a good five hours cleaning my car from the inside out. Now, five hours would probably be overkill on the average car, but mine needed it. Just to give you an idea, there was half a box of crushed graham crackers on the floor and in one glance you could tell I live on a dirt road (even though my car is sand-colored).
So, in washing my car (with soap and window cleaner, etc!), I spent a good amount of time outdoors, I kind of got to play in the sprinklers, and if my sore muscles are any proof, I got a workout. But in my opinion, the biggest benefit is something much different. To me, my car is an extension of my living space, and generally my living space is a reflection of my life. If things are cluttered and dirty, that’s how my life is feeling. If things are sparkly clean and organized, I feel better in everyday life. So get out there and take care of your vehicles!
